Fumage artist Julie Willan

My parents brought me to Ann Arbor, Michigan, from Rockford, Illinois, where I was born in 1967. Back when I was a youngster, I had a passion for horses and a wide variety of other animals. When my family relocated to California in 1982, I dove myself into my studies of illustration and graphic design. In1992, I met a fellow artist in Texas and we struck up a company dealing in fine art and finishing. Over the last three decades or more, my company has flourished thanks to his assistance and that of a few others. My partner and I decided to pack up and go to Hendersonville, North Carolina, where we purchased five beautiful acres in the mountains, to embark on a new journey when the time came. On my land, I have constructed a new studio, which will serve as a wellspring of ideas for my creative endeavors for many years to come.
